Python coding competition for primary 4-6 students

  • S$1,500 worth of cash vouchers to be won!

    Prize Categories (by primary level)
    1st Prize: S$300
    2nd Prize: S$100
    3rd Prize: S$50
    4-10th Position: S$10

    Winners will be able to choose between the following:
    1. NTUC Cash Voucher
    2. Popular Cash Voucher
    3. Robux

  • When: 1 June to 30 June 2024. Register and a suitable time slot will be provided.

    Where: The Logic Coders (Parkway Centre #13-07)

    Format: 45min Python quiz

    Grading: Scores will be calculated based on number of questions answered correctly. In the event of a tie, number of wrong answers, timing, and coding best practices will be used to decide the winner.

  • 1. This Contest is organised by The Logic Coders Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the 'Organiser').

    2. The prizes for this Contest are neither exchangeable for cash nor transferable.

    3. All persons ('Contestants') taking part in this Contest agree that these rules shall be binding on them, and that the entries in this Contest, including their name and likeness, may be used without restriction in any future publicity material by the Organiser. Contestants includes both Students and Parents alike.

    4. The Organiser reserves the right to amend these rules or terminate the Contest at any time at its sole and absolute discretion. All decisions made by the Organiser under these rules shall be final and no discussion or correspondence will be entertained. The Organiser may, but is not required to, justify any decisions relating to this Contest.

    5. The Organiser reserves the right to amend and/or replace the prizes as deemed fit.

    6. The Contestant acknowledges that the interest and good reputation of the Organiser is of paramount importance. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify a Contestant from the Contest, or to withdraw the prize if it believes the Contestant is in breach of its obligations under the rules. The Contestant shall not by act or omission, directly or indirectly bring the Organiser into disrepute.

    7. Contest entries may only be submitted via the stated medium of communication.

    8. The Contest is only open to anyone who is in Singapore Ministry Of Education’s Primary School during the stated Academic Year or will enter into such Primary School the following year, and International students in Singapore of an equivalent level.

    9. Erroneous details provided will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any prizes.

    10. Contestants shall only submit one entry and multiple entries of the same shall be treated as 'spam' and shall be ignored.

    11. Entries will be scored and judged by the Organizer solely on the correctness of the answer(s) furnished with the decision as final. Scored entries will not be made available at any point in time.

    12. Winners will be informed by contact details of both Students and Parents provided during submission of Sign-Up form.

    13. Uses of 'aliases' shall be considered a form of deception and is prohibited.

    14. The winner must produce their original IC / passport with legible IC / passport number in order to claim the prize. The winner may also be required to produce additional original proof of identity at the discretion of the Organiser.

    15. All Prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the winner, and the Organiser excludes all warranties in connection with the prize to the extent permitted by law.

    16. All Contestants release from, and indemnify the Organiser, its agencies, sponsors and representatives against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the Contest including (but not limited to) personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.

    17. All personal particulars furnished are meant for identification purposes and will not be sold or given to any third parties.

    18. Prizes will be forfeited if not collected within the time frame stated after the announcement of winners.

    19. Should the winner be uncontactable or not responsive (within 3 days), the Organiser reserve the right to award the prize to a replacement winner or forfeit the prize.

    20. In the event of a dispute, the winner’s entitlement is subject to the sole discretion and final decision of the Organiser. The Organiser’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.

    21. For avoidance of doubt, Contestants (Students and Parents) consent to the publication of their names, social media platform identifiers, photos and videos on the relevant social media platform for publicity purposes.

    22. The Organiser does not assume any liability for any unlawful or unlawfully produce content or entries.

    23. The Contest and its terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore and all Contestants agree to irrevocably submit themselves to the jurisdiction of the Singapore courts in the determination of any matter or dispute arising in connection therewith.
